Adventure

The beaches of Punta Cana are among the most beautiful in the world. There are hundreds of miles of white sand beaches that offer plenty of space for sunbathing or swimming. The water is warm enough to swim year round, making this a great place to go when it’s cold at home.

Divers will love diving through coral reefs in the waters off Saona Island or swimming with dolphins at Cabarete Beach.

There are so many things to do here that you’ll never be bored! Take a tour through one of the many caves found throughout the country or take a walk along one of its many rivers and streams. You can also visit one of many museums or parks located within each city’s limits.

If you’re feeling adventurous consider visiting one of the nearby islands such as Puerto Rico or Cuba. These two countries offer amazing scenery along with great food and drinks!

Carnival

One of the most celebrated events in the Dominican Republic is Carnival, which takes place every year during Lent. It is filled with music, dancing, and colorful costumes. The main purpose of the festival is to celebrate the ending of Lent and welcome springtime.

The festival lasts for two weeks and features parades, costumes and music. The highlight of Carnival is Merengue Day on February 27th when people all over the country dress up in colorful costumes and dance to this energetic dance music throughout the day.

During Carnival, people dance in the streets with colorful costumes, music, and lots of confetti! There are many parties throughout the country where people go to enjoy themselves by dancing and listening to live music. Many people also dress up in costumes for this festival because it’s all about having fun!

Many people attend these parties with family or friends because it’s a great way to socialize with others while expressing yourself creatively through your costume choice!
